SYSTEM FEDERATION NO. 99, RAILWAY EMPLOYES'
DEPARTMENT, A. F. OF L. (FIREMEN & OILERS)
DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES: That Rule 30 was violated when James K. Adams, laborer, Paducah, Kentucky, was required to take a physical examination before returning to service after being laid off, and also required to bear the cost of same. It is our contention that employes should not be required to take a physical examination under the circumstances herein set out, and that James K. Adams should be reimbursed for physician's examining fee of $1.00.
STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex parte form, and the Division is now in receipt of request from the parties that the case be withdrawn.
