DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES: The daily inspection of Diesel switchers should be performed by machinists.


Compensation for time equal to the amount of time that was charged by machinists for each of these inspections prior to April 18, 1938, shall be paid to the senior furloughed qualified machinist for each such inspection made subsequent to the foregoing date by locomotive enginemen, or anybody not classified as a machinist on a seniority roster.


STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National Railroad -Adjustment Board by the above parties jointly, a hearing thereon was held, and the Division is now in receipt of request from them that the case be withdrawn.




Claim dismissed.
