DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES: That the assignment of shop laborers to firing locomotives used to generate steam for heating purposes at the Rock Island, Illinois, shops is a violation of the current power plant employes' agreement with the carrier; therefore, as a result of said violation, Firemen Frank Voss, Ernest Rode and Wm. Rosson (furloughed) are entitled to compensation for wages lost on days when laborers were used to fire locomotives with which steam was being generated on all dates subsequent to May 27, 1940.
STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex parte form, a hearing thereon was held, and the Division is now in receipt of request from the employes that the case be withdrawn.
