PARTIES TO DISPUTE:
SYSTEM FEDERATION NO. 16, RAILWAY EMPLOYES'

NORFOLK AND WESTERN RAILWAY COMPANY
DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:
(1) That under the controlling agreement and particularly Rule 54,
the removal, inspection, adjusting, repairing and installing Lubricators is machinists' work.
(2) That the carrier is violating the controlling agreement and particularly Rule 31, when machinists' helpers are assigned to perform the aforesaid work.
(3) That the carrier be ordered to discontinue the assignment of machinists' helpers to perform the lubricator work herein referred to.
STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second Division
of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex parte form, a hearing thereon was held, and the Division is now
in receipt of request from the employes that the case be withdrawn.
