ATCHISON, TOPEKA & SANTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY
DISPUTE:
CLAIM OF EMPLOYES: "1. That under the current
agreement the Carrier has improperly assigned the work of fitting, welding
and assembling portable cranes or so called wheel changing device to
Blacksmiths' Craft at the Topeka Shops.
2. (a) That the Carrier be ordered to properly apply the agreement by returning the work above to the Machinists' Craft.
(b) That furloughed Machinist Gerald Vale be additionally compensated in the amount of 36 hours' pay because of a Blacksmith being improperly assigned."
STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National Railroad Adjustment Board in ex parte form, and the
Division is now in receipt of a request from the employes that the case be
withdrawn.
AWARD
Claim dismissed.
