DISPUTE:
CLAIM OF EMPLOYES: 1. That under the current agreement, the Carrier imporperly abolished the assigned Wrecking Crew with the
execption of the Fireman and Engineer at Everett, Washington effective
April 23, 1954.
2. That the Carrier subsequently failed to call five of the affected
Carmen, B. Pearson, W. Smith, G. Magaffin, L. Van Landegham and A.
Weber for a derailment at Monroe, Washington, July 14, 1954.
3. That accordingly the Carrier be ordered to:
a) Rescind the bulletin of April 23, 1954 and restore the Wrecking Crew to its status prior to April 23, 1954 and allow Carmen
Pearson, Smith, Magaffin, Van Landegham and Weber to again exercise their rights as assigned members of the Everett Wrecking
Crew.
b) Compensate Carmen Pearson, Smith, Magaffin, Van Landegham and Weber each in the amount of 3-3/4 hours pay at the straight
time rate for July 14, 1954.
STATEMENT:
The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to
organization in ex parte form and the Division is now in receipt of a request
from the Employes that the case be withdrawn.
