LONG ISLAND RAILROAD COMPANY, THE
DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:
1. That under the applicable agreements, the Carrier improperly denied compensation to Electrician F. D. Virge for Decoration
Day, May 31, 1954, and July 4, 1954, celebrated on July 5, 1954,
holidays.
2. That accordingly the Carrier be ordered to compensate Electrician F. D. Virge in the amount of eight (8) hours at the pro rata
rate for each of the Decoration Day, May 31, 1954 and July 4, 1954,
celebrated on July 5, 1954, holidays.
STATEMENT OF CLAIM:
The above question was submitted to the
Second Division of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above
referred to organization in ex parte form, and the Division is now in receipt
of a request from the employes that the case be withdrawn.
AWARD
Claim dismissed.
