DISPUTE:
CLAIM OF EMPLOYE:
That on 12th July 1955, "claimant" was wrongfully discharged
by Norfolk and Western Railway Company from its employment on
charge of staying away from work when as a matter of fact, he
was away from work on orders of his physician; that your "claimant"
has taken all steps allowed him by the "carrier" to prove that the
"carrier" acted unjustly in the matter and that he was wrongfully
fired by said "carrier".
STATEMENT OF CLAIM: The above question was submitted to the
Second Division of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above
named claimant, through his attorney in ex parte form, and the Division is
now in receipt of a request from the employe that the case be dismissed.
AWARD
Claim dismissed.
