SYSTEM FEDERATION NO. 105, RAILWAY EMPLOYES,
DEPARTMENT, A. F. of L.-C. I. O. (Sheet Metal Workers)
UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY
DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:
1. That under the current applicable agreement the Carrier
improperly furloughed all five Sheet Metal Workers at LaGrande,
Oregon, and immediately assigned members of other crafts to the
work that had previously been performed by Sheet Metal Workers.
2. That, accordingly, the Carrier be ordered to discontinue
the use of employes of other crafts to perform the work on locomotives, cars and tanks that is generally recognized as work belonging
to the Sheet Metal Workers.
3. (a) Compensate Sheet Metal Worker H. T. Chadwick for
all time lost from the time of furlough to October 19, 1956, the date
of his recall to service.
(b) Compensate Sheet Metal Worker Otto Gerber for all
time lost from the time of furlough to December 7, 1956, the date
of his recall to service.
(c) Compensate Sheet Metal Workers John Clark and Amos
E. Roe for all time lost from time of furlough until restored to
service.
STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to
organization in ex parte form, and the Division is now in receipt of a request
from the employes that the case be withdrawn.

Claim dismissed.
