LOUISVILLE AND NASHVILLE RAILROAD COMPANY
DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:
1. That since about April 27, 1956, the Carrier has violated
Rule 1(a) of the controlling agreement thereof by:
A. The refusal to assign stationary Firemen to perform
the work of Stationary Firemen at the Corbin, Kentucky
Passenger Station.
B. The arbitrary assignment of Electricians to perform
the work of Stationary Firemen.
2. That in consideration of the aforesaid violation, the Carrier
be ordered to:
A. Cease and desist from the assignment of Electricians
to perform the aforesaid work.
B. Assign Stationary Firemen to their inherent and
contractual right to perform all of the work of Stationary
Firemen, and to compensate them for all of the time Electricians are used to perform the work of Stationary Firemen.
STATEMENT:
The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to
organization in ex parte form, and the Division is now in receipt of a request
from the employes that the case be withdrawn.
