DEPARTMENT, AFL-CIO (Sheet Metal Workers)




DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:

1. That under the current agreement other than sheet metal workers were improperly assigned to perform sheet metal workers' work by rearing of pipe joints, resweating of copper pipe joints, disconnecting and connecting pipe connections and fittings in water cooler on April 24, 1956.

2. That accordingly the carrier be ordered to compensate Sheet Metal Worker William Robinson and Sheet Metal Worker Helper L. Mayer each in the amount of eight (8) hours pay at the applicable overtime rate for April 24, 1956.

FINDINGS: The Second Division of the Adjustment Board, upon the whole record and all the evidence, finds that:

The carrier or carriers and the employe or employes involved in this dispute are respectively carrier and employe within the meaning of the Railway Labor Act as approved June 21, 1934.

This Division of the Adjustment Board has jurisdiction over the dispute involved herein.



The facts and circumstances as well as the parties being similar to those herein, disposition of this claim is governed by our Award No. 2747. (Docket No. 2593 CUT~SM.)
