PARTIES TO DISPUTE:

DEPARTMENT, AFL-CIO (Sheet Metal Workers)






1. That under the current agreement the carrier improperly assigned other than sheet metal workers to perform the work of removing and replacing water pump pipes and pipe fittings in their entirety at pump and water tank and removed and replaced 2^ water pipe flange connections on pump and made new gaskets for flange pipe connections on L&N 2597, April 27, 1956.



FINDINGS: The Second Division of the Adjustment Board, upon the whole record and all the evidence, finds that:

The carrier or carriers and the employe or employes involved in this dispute are respectively carrier and employe within the meaning of the Railway Labor Act as approved June 21, 1934.

This Division of the Adjustment Board has jurisdiction over the dispute involved herein.



The facts and circumstances as well as the parties being similar to those herein, disposition of this claim is governed by our Award No. 2747. (Docket No. 2593 CUT-SM.)
