DEPARTMENT, AFL-CIO (Sheet Metal Workers)


    THE CINCINNATI UNION TERMINAL COMPANY


    DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:


    1. That under the current agreement the Carrier improperly assigned other than Sheet Metal Workers to perform the work of disconnecting and connecting all the piping to water pump for two applications of a water pump on L&N diner 2717, July 25, 1956.


    2. That accordingly the Carrier be ordered to compensate Sheet Metal Workers H. Stephens, R. Hirsch and Sheet Metal Worker Helper C. Sauber, each in the amount of eight (8) hours pay at the applicable overtime rate for July 25, 1956.


FINDINGS: The Second Division of the Adjustment Board, upon the whole record and all the evidence, finds that:

The carrier or carriers and the employe or employes involved in this dispute are respectively carrier and employe within the meaning of the Railway Labor Act as approved June 21, 1934.

This Division of the Adjustment Board has jurisdiction over the dispute involved herein.

    The parties to said dispute were given due notice of hearing thereon.


This dispute is identical to that decided in our Award No. 2864 (Docket No. 2778) .
