SYSTEM FEDERATION NO. 88, RAILWAY EMPLOYES'

DEPARTMENT, AFL-CIO (Boilermakers)


    ELGIN, JOLIET & EASTERN RAILWAY COMPANY


    DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:


1. That under the current agreement the Carrier improperly assigned the work of applying angle iron, closing hatches and removing safety railings to the Machinists' Craft.


    2. That under the current agreement the Carrier improperly assigned members of the Sheet Metal Workers' Craft to fill Diesel boilers Nos. 104 and 109.


3. That accordingly the Carrier be ordered to additionally compensate Boilermakers M. Gleason and Boilermaker Helper I. Kubinski for four (4) hours each at straight time rate of pay for the aforesaid violations:


STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex parte form, and the Division is now in receipt of a request from the_ employes that the case be withdrawn.

                  AWARD


    Claim dismissed.
