ATCHISON, TOPEKA AND SANTA FE RAILWAY SYSTEM
DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMTLOYES:
1. That under the current agreement the Carrier improperly
assigned Electrician W. A. Oliver to a work week of Thursday
through Monday with rest days Tuesday and Wednesday effective
May 2, 1957 at Silsbee, Texas.
2. That accordingly the Carrier be ordered to:
(a) compensate the aforesaid employe in the amount
of eight (8) hours at the applicable straight time rate of
pay
for each Tuesday and Wednesday he was not permitted
to work retroactive to Tuesday May 7, 1957
(b) additionally compensate the aforesaid employe at
the applicable time and one-half rate for the services he was
assigned to perform each Saturday and Sunday retroactive
to Saturday May 4, 1957,
for the aforesaid violation.
STATEMENT:
The above question was submitted to the Second Division
of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex parte form, and the Division is now in receipt of a request from
the employes that the case be withdrawn.
