DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:
1. That the Carrier violated provisions of Rule 19 (a) of controlling Agreement when the Mechanical Foreman, Mr. E. T. McGlasson,
at Smithville, Texas failed to give reason for declining the claim of
W, A. Duncan, as presented to him on August 23, 1957-Smithville,
Texas.
2. That accordingly the Carrier be ordered to allow Claimant
W. A. Duncan's claim as presented in accordance with the provisions
of Rule 19(a) of controlling agreement, DP-304.
STATEMENT:
The above question was submitted to the Second Division
of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex parte form, and the Division is now in receipt of a request from the
employes that the case be withdrawn.
AWARD
Claim dismissed.
