DISPUTE:
CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:
1. That the Carrier violated the provisions of Rule 27(c) of the
controlling Agreement when the Assistant Chief Mechanical Officer
(Formerly General Master Mechanic) failed to answer the correspondence, as provided for in Rule 27(c) of agreement.
2. That accordingly the Carrier be ordered to pay Claimant
I. L. Ramey as follows:
On August 30, 1957, one (1) hour at pro rata rate and
four and one-half
(41/2)
hours at the overtime rate.
On August 31, 1957, 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 A.M. September 1,
1957, twenty-three (23) hours at the overtime rate.
STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second Division
of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex ,parte form, hearing thereon was not held, and the Division is now
in receipt of a request from the employes that the case be withdrawn.
AWARD
Claim dismissed.
