PARTIES TO DISPUTE
SYSTEM FEDERATION NO. 152, RAILWAY EMPLOYES'
DEPARTMENT, AFL-CIO (Machinists)
THE PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD COMPANY
DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:
1. That the overhauling of trucks (over-the-road) comes within
the scope of the current Agreement as Machinists' work.
2. That the Pennsylvania Railroad Company, by unilaterally
transferring the repair work on Truck No. 89044 to the Truck Sales
and Service Garage on July 18, 1956, violated the current Agreement.
3. That accordingly the Pennsylvania Railroad Company be ordered to:
(a) Desist from unilaterally transferring the repairs
and maintenance on said truck to outside local garages.
(b) Compensate B. B. DeMuth, Machinist, in the amount
of two (2) days' pay because of this violation.
STATEMENT:
The above question was submitted to the Second Division
of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex parte form and the Division is now in receipt of a request from the
employes that the case be withdrawn.
AWARD
Claim dismissed.
