ATCHISON, TOPEKA AND SANTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY
DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:
1. That under the current controlling Shop Crafts' Agreement, Machinists O. H. O'Connor and 0. Fields were on March
21, 1956 improperly and discriminatorily furloughed from their
positions as machinists at Marceline, Mo., the machinists' work
they had been performing being turned over to Foremen, Assistant
Supervisors of Diesel Engines and/or others.
2. That accordingly the carrier be ordered to reinstate Machinists O. H. O'Connor and 0. Fields to their former positions as
machinists at Marceline.
3. That the carrier be ordered to compensate Machinists
0. H. O'Connor and O. Fields at prevailing pro-rata rate paid
machinists from March 21, 1956 until date they are restored to
service as machinists at Marceline, Missouri.
STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second
Division of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred
to organization in ex parte form and the Division is now in receipt of a request from the employes that the case be withdrawn.
AWARD
Claim dismissed.
