CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:
1. That under the current agreement, the Carrier improperly
denied Machinist R. F. Callender the right to work on Washington's Birthday, February 22, 1958, a regular work day of Claimant's regularly assigned work week, and thereby deprived him of
eight (8) 'hours' compensation at the time and one-half rate of
pay.
2. That, accordingly, the Carrier be ordered to additionally
compensate the above named Machinist for Washington's Birthday, February 22, 1958 holiday, in the amount of eight (8)
hours'
pay
at the time and one-half rate.
STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second
Division of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred
to organization in ex parte form and the Division is now in receipt of a
request from the employes that the case be withdrawn.
AWARD
Claim dismissed.
