ATCHISON, TOPEKA & SANTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY
DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:
1. That under the current agreement Electrician Gerald E.
Menges was unjustly dealt with and the provisions of the current
agreement were violated when the Carrier refused to compensate
him for travel time on Sunday, November 10, 1957, due to traveling
from LaJunta, Colorado, to Pueblo, Colorado.
2. That under the current agreement Electrician Gerald E.
Menges was unjustly dealt with and the provisions of current agreement were violated when the Carrier refused to compensate him for
travel time on Sunday, November 17, 1957, due to traveling from
LaJunta, Colorado, to Dodge City, Kansas.
3. That accordingly, the Carrier be ordered to compensate
Gerald E. Menges as follows:
A. One and one-half (11A-) hours at the applicable
rate of pay for travel time on November 10, 1957.
B. Three and one-half (3'/z) hours at the applicable
rate of pay for travel time on November 17 ,1957.
STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second Division
of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex parte form and the Division is now in receipt of a request from the
employes that the case be withdrawn.
AWARD
Claim dismissed.
