DISPUTE:
CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:
1. That under the current agreement, particularly Rule 2 the
Carrier improperly established a fifth shift in the Electrical Craft
and a fourth shift in the Sheet Metal Workers, Carmen and Coach
Cleaner Crafts in their Coach Yard on July 1, 1958.
2. That accordingly the Carrier be ordered to:
(a) Additionally compensate the Electricians, Sheet
Metal Workers, Carmen and Coach Cleaners who have
worked these jobs, at the straight time rate of pay for two
hours on each day they were denied to work from 7 A. M.
to 9 A. M. the regular assigned hour of the first shift, retroactive to and including July 1, 1958.
(b) Additionally compensate the Electricians, Sheet
Metal Workers, Carmen and Coach Cleaners who have
worked these jobs, at time and one-half rate of pay for each
two hours worked in addition to the regular quitting time of
the first shift which is 3 P. M., retroactive to and including
July 1, 1958.
STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second Division
of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex parte form and the Division is now in receipt of a request from the
employes that the case be withdrawn.
