DISPUTE:
CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:
1. That under the current agreement other than Machinist
Helpers were improperly assigned the duties of operating a car brass
boring machine since October 27, 1955.
2. That accordingly, the Carrier be ordered to assign Machinist
Helpers to aforesaid work and compensate the following Machinist
Helpers
Howard Sims-56 hours for October 27, No-.,ember 1,
3, 4, 10, 14, 18, 1955. First shift, 7:30 A. M.-3:30 P. M.
Andrew Green-44 hours for November 22, 23, 24,
25, 1955. First shift 7:30 A. M.-3:30 P. M.
V. L. Gross-100 hours, November 21, 22, 23, 24, 26,
27, 28, 29, 30, December 1, 2, 1955. Second shift 3:30
P. M. to 11:3 0 P. M.
John H. Williams-100 hours, November 21, 22, 23,
24, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, December 1, 2, 1955. First shift
7:30 A. M.-3:30 P. M.
Burnett Johnson-56 hours, November 25, 26, 27, 28,
29, 30, December 1, 1955. Third shift 11:30 P. M.-7:30
A. M.
In addition to the 8 hours' claim at straight time rate
we are asking penalty pay for the dates holidays appear
above, and for all days subsequent to the abovo on which
others than Machinist Helpers are used to operate the Car

Brass Boring Machine, for claimants to be designated later
by the organization.
STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to
organization in ex parte form, a hearing thereon was held, and the Division
is now in receipt of request from the employes that the case be withdrawn.

Claim dismissed.
