DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES: The carrier has bought a machine to wash the old packing from journal boxes. This means that a new job has been created for some employe of the carrier yet the carrier has refused to advertise this job. This is a violation of the agreement Rule 39, paragraph (a). The organization would like to have this situation remedied at once.


STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex parte form. Parties to said dispute were given due notice of hearing thereon, and the Division is now in receipt of a request from the employes that the case be withdrawn.
