DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:
1. That Electrician F. H. Snyder, the claimant, was unjustly
dealt with and damaged when he was furloughed from his assigned
position on the second shift at the Corning Engine Terminal, Corning, Ohio, effective January 2, 1961, and thereafter his classified
work and duties were taken over and performed by the Enginehouse
Foreman and others in violation of the applicable Agreement Rules.
2. That accordingly, the claimant is entitled to be restored to his
classified position as Electrician at the Corning Engine Terminal and
compensated for his net wage loss at the applicable rate of pay for
all time involved as a result of the Carrier's improper action in this
case.
STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second Division
of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex parte form. Parties to said dispute were given due notice of
hearing thereon, and the Division is now in receipt of a request from the
employes that the case be withdrawn.
AWARD
Claim dismissed.
