NORFOLK & WESTERN RAILWAY COMPANY
DISPUTE:
CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:
1. That the Norfolk & Western Railway Company violated the
provisions of their current agreement with System Federation No. 16,
Railway Employes' Department, AFL-CIO, when they assigned Deck
Foremen to operate coal loading equipment on August 9, and 10, 1961,
during the 11 P. M. to 7 A. M. shift, in connection with loading coal
on ship Har Gilbo while berthed at Pier 4, Lamberts Point Coal Pier,
Norfolk, Va.
2. That Dumper Operator Lloyd Kimmons be compensated for
eight (8) hours at the time and one-half rate of his position.
STATEMENT:
The above question was submitted to the Second Division
of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex parte form, hearing thereon was waived, and the Division is now in
receipt of a request from the employes that the case be withdrawn.
AWARD
Claim dismissed.
