PARTIES TO DISPUTE:

THE PITTSBURGH & LAKE ERIE RAILROAD COMPANY AND

THE LAKE ERIE & EASTERN RAILROAD COMPANY

DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES: On bids posted at McKees Rocks and other points on the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Company property the words "other work when necessary" are being added to the bids. The organization feels that this is incorrect as this is not called for in the original agreement. The Organization knows that when an employe bids a job and there is no work on his bid job that he must then perform other work if so desired by the carrier. The Organization feels that as long as there is work on a bid job then the employe should not be taken off the bid job to perform other work. The organization requests that the carrier discontinue using the phrase that is added to the bids, "other work when necessary" at once.

STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex parte form, hearing thereon was held, and the Division is now in receipt of a request from the employes that the case be withdrawn.
