DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES: The carrier is using helpers to apply the brakes on freight cars when the cars are being spotted on the push up system. This work belongs to carmen and not helpers. Since helpers are being used to perform work that should be done by carmen, the organization requests that the carrier compensate Carman F. Mirth, eight (8) hours for each of the following days at the pro rata rate of pay on account of helpers doing carmen's work: May 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 1962.


STATEMENT: The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex parte form, hearing thereon was held, and the Division is now in receipt of a request from the employes that the case be withdrawn.
