ST. LOUIS-SAN FRANCISCO RAILROAD COMPANY

DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:

1 - That under the current agreement and the Holiday Agreement, the sheet metal workers were damaged when the Carrier refused to compensate the hereinafter named claimants for 8 hours each for Christmas Day, December 25, 1963, and for New Year's Day, January 1, 1964. The Carrier claiming the following named claimants were not entitled to holiday pay for either holiday account not leaving their names and addresses when they were furloughed December 13, 1963.


2 - That accordingly the Carrier be ordered to compensate these claimants 8 hours each for Christmas Day, December 25, 1963, and 8 hours each for New Year's Day, January 1, 1964. The following named claimants are:

Mr. Ralph G. Harper
Mr. Francis Kerby
Mr. Hobart Freeman
Mr. Carl Goodnight

FINDINGS: The Second Division of whole record and all the evidence, finds that:

The carrier or carriers and the employe or employes involved in this dispute are respectively carrier and employes within the meaning of the Railway Labor Act as approved June 21, 1934.

This Division of the Adjustment Board has jurisdiction over the dispute involved herein.


The issue and agreements in this dispute are similar to the issue and agreements in Award 5061, and for the reasons stated in that award, this claim must be sustained.
