PARTIES TO DISPUTE:
SYSTEM FEDERATION NO. 97, RAILWAY EMPLOYES'

THE ATCHISON, TOPEKA & SANTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY
(Coast Lines)
DISPUTE: CLAIM OF EMPLOYES:
1. That under the terms of the current working Agreement, the
Carrier erred when they failed to assign Communications Department Electrical Workers to install and maintain line wires, X-arms,
insulators, down guys, poles, anchors and tying in of same between
Mile Post 286 plus 19 poles, west of Winslow, to Mile Post 293 plus
19 holes in Winslow, a total distance of seven (7) miles, on or about
February 1, 1965.
2. That accordingly the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway
Company be ordered to compensate Communications Department Electrical Workers, Linemen, J. R. Hicks, C. L. Sherrin, R. G. Lybeck,
O. J. Duncan and W. R. Hall, sixty-four (64) hours each at their
regular overtime rate of pay; also that Division Lineman W. W.
Michaels be compensated eight (8) hours at his regular overtime rate
of pay for the maintenance of these line wires and these two telephones.
FINDINGS: The Second Division of the Adjustment Board, upon the
whole record and all the evidence, finds that:
The carrier or carriers and the employe or employes involved in this
dispute are respectively carrier and employe within the meaning of the
Railway Labor Act as approved June 21, 1934.
This Division of the Adjustment Board has jurisdiction over the dispute
involved herein.
Parties to said dispute were given due notice of hearing thereon.
The issue and agreements in this dispute are similar to the issue and"
agreements in Award 5514, involving the same parties to this dispute, and
for the reasons stated in said Award, we must deny this claim.
AWARD
Claim denied.
