Dispute: Claim of Employes:
1. That under the current agreement, and past practice of long standing,
Carman H. R. Karnes, was improperly compensated by the Norfolk and
Western Railway Company for service performed continuous with, and
after regular bulletined working hours of his 7:00 A1Z., to 
3:30 
PM.,
assignment, on the respective dates of January 
4 
and 
18, 1971, 
between
the hours of 3:30 PM., and 11:00 PM., of each respective date.
2. That accordingly the Norfolk and Western Company be ordered to
additionally compensate Carman 
H. R. 
Karnes in the amount of three
(3) 
hours and forty five 
(45) 
minutes at the straight time rate for
each of the aforesaid dates, with interest of 
61, 
per annum, to be
compounded annually on the anniversary date of claim until paid.

Statement:
The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the
National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex
parte form, hearing thereon was waived, and the 
Division is 
now in receipt of a
request from the employes that the case be withdrawn.
