the Claimant was serrv:ing a thirty-day suspension during part of the time lie
was charged with being absent.

While the ivdovei:aer 3$ 1976 hearing may have been sm:;mary in nature, there is not! ii.ng to indicate that the Carrier did not meet its oaliz;ation of citing a charge properly. The C1.aimant cannot be excused from ef.e::aising ,reasonable effort to rcfate such charges and to protect his rights; he did. neither.
