Dispute: Claim of Employes:
1. That in the Waycross, Georgia Back Shops beginning December 6, 1977
through January 14, 1978, both dates inclusive, the Seaboard Coast
Line Railroad Company violated the Controlling Agreement when
Electrician Helper was assigned to operate an overhead traveling
crane instead of calling and/or notifying Overhead Traveling Crane
Operator who was available to operate the overhead traveling crane
on the above mentioned dates.
2. That Overhead Traveling Crane Operator J. T. Taylor be compensated
at the punitive rate of pay for 81~ hours each date for the dates of
December 6, 9 & 15, 1977 and January 9 & 13, 1978; Overhead Traveling
Crane Operator J. Peacock be compensated at the punitive rate of pay
for 8h hours each date for the dates of December 7, 13 & 23, 1977
and January 2 & 11, 1978; Overhead Traveling Crane Operator L. Herrin
be compensated at the punitive rate of pay for

for the dates of December 8, 14, 26 & 29, 1977 and January 3, 6 &
12, 1978; Overhead Traveling Crane Operator R. D. Murray be compensated
at the punitive rate of pay 811 hours each date for the dates of
December 12, 16, 27 & 30, 1977 and January 5, 10 & 14, 1978.
3. That Carrier be ordered to not use Electrician Helpers to operate the
Overhead Traveling Crane when there are Overhead Traveling Crane
Operators available and only have to be called or notified of the need
for their services.
4. That Claimants be allowed 8!1 hours for each date continuous from
January 15, 1978 until the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad Company
ceases to use the Electrician Helper when Overhead Traveling Crane
Operators are available.
Statement:
The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National
Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex parte form,
hearing thereon was waived, and the Division is now in receipt of a request from
the employes that the case be withdrawn.
