Dispute: Claim of Dnployes:
1. That the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway Company violated the
current agreement when, on May 8, 12, 13, 22, 27, June 8, 22 and 23, 1981
employes other than a crane operator with rights on the Locomotive Shop
Seniority Roster mere improperly assigned to perform the operation of
cranes in the Locomotive Shop.
2. That the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway Company violated the
current agreement when they failed to recall Overhead Crane Operator
Edward G. Gu1as to service on those days stated above and failed to provide
a five (5) day notice.
3. That the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway Company compensate
Crane Operator Edward G. Gu1as, Account No. 1503 for 240 hours at the
straight time rate of pay account of the violation.
Statement:
The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the
National Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization
in ex parte form, hearing thereon was waived, and the Division is now in
receipt of a request from the employes that the case be withdrawn.
