Parties to Dispute:
( Illinois Central Gulf Railroad Company
Dispute: Claim of anployes:
1. That the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad violated the controlling
Schedule "A" Agreement between the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad
and the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace
workers, as amended, when they unjustly suspened Machinists
P. W. Wilson for 30 calendar days beginning March 27, 1981,
through April 25, 1981, account alleged excessive absenteeism.
2. That accordingly, the Carrier be ordered to:
(a) Pay claimant all wages lost as a result of Carrier's violation
of the controlling agreements at the Machinists pro rata rate.
(b) Clear claimant's service record of all reference to charges,
investigation, and discipline assessed on March 23, 1981.
(c) Grant claimant all benefits obtained for Machinists in any
agreements reached between the Company and the I.A.M. to
which he would have been entitled had he not been suspensed
from service beginning March 27, 1981, through April 25,
1981.
(d) Make claimant whole for all losses incurred as a result
of his unjust suspension from service March 27, 1981 , through
April 25, 1981.
Statement:
The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National
Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to organization in ex pane
form, hearing thereon was waived, and the Division is now in receipt of a
request from the Carrier that the case be withdrawn.
