Dispute: Claim of Employes:
1. That the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak) violated
the controlling agreement effective September 1, 1975, as amended, in
particular Rule 9, when on October 12, 1982, said carrier abolished
the job of Electrician N. Romano and allowed junior employe Field
Technician-Train Rider H. F. Thomas to perform Electrician Romano's
duties at the carrier's passenger station, located in Jacksonville,
Florida.
2. That accordingly, the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak)
be ordered to compensate senior employee Electrician N. Romano for
eight (8) hours each day at the pro rata rate of pay commencing
October 13, 1982 and
continuing as
long as the junior employee Field
Technician-Train Rider H. F. Thomas is allowed to perform the
electricians' job at the National Railroad Passenger Corporation
(Amtrak) station located in Jacksonville, Florida.
Statement:
The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National
Railroad Adjustment Board by the above referred to Organization in ex parte
form, hearing thereon was waived, and the Division is now in receipt of a
request frcxn the Employes that the case be withdrawn.
