Dispute: Claim of amployes:
1. That under the current Agreement, the National Railroad Passenger
Corporation (Amtrak) improperly failed to compensate Chicago,
Illinois Electrician E. Broome at the time and one half rate when on
November 11, 1983 he changed from the first shift to the third shift
as result of having been displaced by Electrician J. Longo, an
employe senior to him; and instead unjustly compensated him at the
straight time rate.
Statemnt
That accordingly the National Railroad Passenger Corporation be
ordered to compensate Electrician E. Broom an additional four (4)
hours' pay at the applicable Electrician's straight time rate in
order to make him whole and in order to protect the Agreement.
The above question was submitted to the Second Division of the National
Railroad Adjustmnt Board by the above referred to Organization in ex parte
form, hearing thereon was waived, and the Division is now in receipt of a
request from the Employes that the case be withdrawn.
