BROTHERHOOD OF RAILWAY AND STEAMSHIP CLERKS, FREIGHT HANDLERS, EXPRESS AND STATION EMPLOYES
STATEMENT OF CLAIM: "Claim of the System Committee of the Brotherhood of Railway and Steamship Clerks, Freight Handlers, Express and Station Employes that the carrier violated the Clerks' Agreement:
(1) When, effective May 20th, 1938, it abolished the position of Baggage Agent, Griffin, Ga., rate $143.17 per month, and concurrently therewith established a new position under the title of Clerk-Laborer, rate of $85.00 per month covering relatively the same class of work.
(2) That the incumbent of the former position of Baggage Agent and the now present incumbent of the Clerk-Laborer position, Mr. C. L. White, shall now be compensated for all wage losses suffered by reason of this violation retroactive to May 20th, 1938, and paid the difference represented in salary he has received $85.00 per month, and salary he properly should have received $143.17 per month, this difference being $58.17 per month."
That the dispute was certified to the Third Division of the Adjustment Board ex parte by complainant party;
That this Division of the Adjustment Board has jurisdiction over the dispute involved herein; and
That hearing thereon has been held but not concluded. Under date of January 16, 1942, the Petitioner addressed a formal communication to the Secretary of the Third Division requesting withdrawal of this dispute, which request is hereby granted.
