PARTIES TO DISPUTE:
BROTHERHOOD OF RAILWAY AND STEAMSHIP CLERKS,
FREIGHT HANDLERS, EXPRESS AND STATION EMPLOYES
SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY (PACIFIC LINES)
STATEMENT OF CLAIM:
Claim of the System Committee of the Brotherhood that:
(a) The carrier has violated and continues to violate the rules of the
Clerks' Agreement when it declined and continues to decline to
increase the rate of pay of Mr. Jerry Borges and/or his successors
on position titled Cashier', at Richmond, California.
(b) The rate of pay of Mr. Jerry Borges and/or his successors on
position of Cashier, at Richmond, California, be increased from
$7.20 to $7.82 per day, retroactive to December 10, 1942, the
date claim was filed by our Division Chairman with Division
Superintendent.
NOTE: Rates named in item (b) above subject to adjustment in
consonance with National Wage increase award dated January 17, 1944.
FINDINGS:
The Third Division of the Adjustment Board finds:
That the dispute was certified to the Third Division of the Adjustment
Board ex parte by complainant party; and
That no hearing thereon has been held, and under date of March 6, 1945,
the complainant party addressed a formal communication to the Secretary
of the Third Division requesting withdrawal of this case, which request is
hereby granted.
AWARD
Case dismissed.
