PARTIES TO DISPUTE:
BROTHERHOOD OF RAILWAY AND STEAMSHIP CLERKS,
FREIGHT HANDLERS, EXPRESS AND STATION EMPLOYES
SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY (PACIFIC LINES)
STATEMENT OF CLAIM:
Claim of the System Committee of the Brotherhood that:
(a) The correct rate of pay for the position of Ticket Clerk at San
Francisco, 65 Geary Street Ticket Office, occupied by Miss Luella
Taylor, and/or her successors, is $7.31 per day.
(b) Miss Luella Taylor, and/or her successors, be compensated for
the difference between what they are paid, $5.20 per day, and
the established rate for the classification, $7.31 per day, retroactive to the date she was placed on the position, i. e., April
1, 1943.
NOTE: The rates named in Items (a) and (b) above, are subject to
adjustment in consonance with the general wage increase
award, dated Washington, D. C., January 17, 1944.
FINDINGS:
The Third Division of the Adjustment Board finds:
That the dispute was certified to the Third Division of the Adjustment
Board ex parte by complainant party; and
That no hearing thereon has been held, and under date of March 6, 1945,
the complainant party addressed a formal communication to the Secretary
of the Third Division requesting withdrawal of this case, which request is
hereby granted.
AWARD
Case dismissed.
