ATLANTIC COAST LINE RAILROAD COMPANY
STATEMENT OF CLAIM: Claim of the System Committee of the
Brotherhood of Railway and Steamship Clerks, Freight Handlers, Express and
Station Employes:
1. That the carrier violated rule 10 of the agreement effective Feb.
16, 1944 by failing to place Mrs. Uldine D. Ashcroft on position of
of second trick baggage clerk at Florence S. C_ and dismissing
her from service because she contended for this position which
she had been assigned to by bulletin of July 10, 1945.
2. That Mrs. Uldine D. Ashcraft be placed on position of second trick
baggage clerk at Florence, S. C., with seniority rights unimpaired
and paid for all time lost from Saturday,
duly
28, 1946 until
restored to this position..
FINDINGS:
The Third Division of the Adjustment Board finds:
That the dispute was certified to the Third Division of the Adjustment
Board ex parte by complainant party; and
That no hearing thereon has been held, and under date of December 28,
1945, the complainant party addressed a formal communication to the Secretary of the Third Division requesting withdrawal of the case, which request
is hereby granted.
AWARD
Case dismissed.
