PARTIES TO DISPUTE:

BROTHERHOOD OF RAILWAY AND STEAMSHIP CLERKS, FREIGHT HANDLERS, EXPRESS AND STATION EMPLOYES




STATEMENT OF CLAIM: Claim of the System Committee of the Brotherhood of Railway and Steamship Clerks, Freight Handlers, Express and Station Employes:


1. That the Carrier violated the meaning and intent of agreement signed January 23, 1946, effective January 1, 1946, between the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company and the Brotherhood of Railway and Steamship Clerks, Freight Handlers, Express and Station Employes when they discontinued, without negotiation, on or about November 9, 1946, the shop shuttle train between the passenger station and the shops at Fitzgerald, Ga., on which shop and storeroom employes were allowed to ride to and from their work without charge.


2. That all employes affected who are covered by the Agreement between the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company and the Brotherhood of Railway and Steamship Clerks, Freight Handlers, Express and Station employes be allowed or paid compensation of $1.50 per week from the time this shuttle train was discontinued until it might be reinstated or a satisfactory free transportation is arranged for the employes in the place of the abolished shuttle train.




That the dispute was certified to the Third Division of the Adjustment Beard ex parte by complainant party; and


That no hearing thereon has been held, and under date of June 29, 1948 the complainant party addressed a formal communication to the Secretary of the Third Division requesting withdrawal of this case, which request is hereby granted.
