STATEMENT OF CLAIM: On December 20, 1947, Santa Fe train 2nd No. 24 was permitted to operate from Newton, Kansas, to Kansas City with car Corcoran, line Special and car 100, line 6, without the services of a conductor.
This is a violation of Rules 38 and 64 of the Agreement between The Pullman Company and Conductors in the service of The Pullman Company.
As all work arising at Newton is under the jurisdiction of the Kansas City District, I now ask that the Kansas City Conductor who would have been entitled to this assignment be compensated for a deadhead trip Kansas City to Newton and a trip in extra service from Newton to Kansas City. A total of 15 hours.
That the dispute was certified to the Third Division of the Adjustment Board ex parte by complainant party; and
That no hearing thereon has been held, and under date of May 20, 1949 the complainant party addressed a formal communication to the Acting Secretary of the Third Division withdrawing this case, which request is hereby granted.
