PARTIES TO DISPUTE:

ORDER OF RAILWAY CONDUCTORS, PULLMAN SYSTEM

STATEMENT OF CLAIM: The Order of Railway Conductors, Pullman System, contends Rules 38 and 64 of the Conductors Agreement was violated when on February 12, 1948, Pullman car 381, Line 2358 [2385], enroute Cleveland to Philadelphia and Car 161, Line 2362, enroute Pittsburgh to Philadelphia were permitted to operate in service on Pennsylvania train No. 580, Harrisburg to Philadelphia without a Pullman conductor in charge.

We now ask that Conductor B. R. Kline be credited and paid for a deadhead trip Philadelphia to Harrisburg and for a service trip Harrisburg to Philadelphia, as provided in the Memorandum of Understanding, subject: "Compensation Wage Loss" dated August 8, 1945.

That the dispute was certified to the Third Division of the Adjustment Board ex parte by complainant party; and

That no hearing thereon has been held and under date of May 20, 1949, the complainant party addressed a formal communication to the Acting Secretary of the Third Division withdrawing this case, which request is hereby granted.
