STATEMENT OF CLAIM: Claim of the General Committee of The Order of Railroad Telegraphers on the Lehigh Valley Railroad Company, that:
(1) The duties and responsibilities of the three towerman-telegrapher positions at the tower at Catasauqua, Pa., were materially increased when, effective June 28 1949, the operation of signals and switches at Cementon, Pa., was added to the duties of the employes at this tower by the installation of an electrically operated remote control machine, and the telegraph duties also materially increased by the addition of telegraph and telephone duties formerly performed at Treichler Tower which had been discontinued on June 28, 1949; and
(2) As a result of this material increase and change in the duties and responsibilities of the three positions of Towerman-telegrapher at Catasauqua Tower the rates of pay of these positions shall be increased eleven (11) cents per hour effective June 28, 1949, to conform with the rates paid similar positions of the same class-Port Reading Junction Tower, and Bellewood Tower-in accordance with the provisions of Rule 3 (e) of the Agreement between the parties.
That the dispute was certified to the Third Division of the Adjustment Board ex parte by complainant party; and
That no hearing thereon has been held, and under date of May 10, 1950, the complainant party addressed a formal communication to the Acting Secretary of the Third Division withdrawing this case, which request is herebo· granted.
