PARTIES TO DISPUTE:
BROTHERHOOD OF RAILWAY AND STEAMSHIP CLERKS,
FREIGHT HANDLERS, EXPRESS AND STATION EMPLOYES
RAILWAY EXPRESS AGENCY, INCORPORATED
STATEMENT OF CLAIM: Claim of the District Committee of the Brotherhood that:
(a) The agreement governing hours of service and working conditions between the Railway Express Agency and the Brotherhood of
Railway and Steamship Clerks, Freight Handlers, Express and Station
Employes, effective September 1, 1949 was violated when E. E. Johnson, Messenger, Southern California-Arizona-New Mexico Seniority
District, was refused vacation with pay in 1949; and
(b) He shall now be compensated for ten days at his regular basic
monthly rate $(305.00) in lieu of vacation due but not allowed him in
1949.
FINDINGS: The Third Division of the Adjustment Board finds:
That the dispute was certified to the Third Division of the Adjustment
Board ex parts by the complainant party; and
That no hearing thereon has been held, and under date of October 30, 1951
the complainant party addressed a formal communication to the Acting Secretary of the Third Division requesting withdrawal of this case, which request
is hereby granted.
AWARD
Case dismissed.
