CENTRAL OF GEORGIA RAILWAY COMPANY
STATEMENT OF CLAIM:
Claim of the System Committee of the
Brotherhood:
(1) That the Carrier violated the agreement when it assigned
Coal Chute Laborer C. A. Sherrod to perform service as an Assistant
Jordan Spreader Operator on the Columbus and Macon Divisions
during the months of May and June, 1951, and refused to reimburse
him for expenses incurred while on such assignment;
(2) That the Carrier reimburse Mr. C. A. Sherrod in the amount
of $98.80 because of the violation referred to in part (1) of this claim.
FINDINGS:
The Third Division of the Adjustment Board finds:
That the dispute was certified to the Third Division of the Adjustment
Board ex parte by complainant party; and
That no hearing thereon has been held, and under date of March 21, 1952,
the complainant party addressed a formal communication to the Acting Secretary of the Third Division requesting withdrawal of this case, which request
is hereby granted.
AWARD
Case dismissed.
