BROTHERHOOD OF RAILWAY AND STEAMSHIP CLERKS,
FREIGHT HANDLERS, EXPRESS AND STATION EMPLOYES
STATEMENT OF CLAIM: Claim of the System Committee of the Brotherhood that:
1. The Carrier violated the terms of the currently effective Agreement when in September 1953, and thereafter, it arbitrarily and unilaterally removed work occurring within the confines of two seniority rosters on Carrier's facilities located at South Water Street, Chicago, Illinois, and identified as "Out Freight House" and "In Freight House," which work was performed by employes on those rosters (before said rosters were consolidated effective May 17, 1954) and transferred such work to other points and seniority districts without agreement between the parties, and
2. That all employes embraced within said seniority district at South Water Street, Chicago, Illinois, who were forced to suffer monetary losses by reason of abolishment of positions and consequent reduction in force because of the carrier's violative action, be fully reimbursed for any and all monetary losses sustained by such adversely affected employes.
FINDINGS: The Third Division of the Adjustment Board, after giving the parties to this dispute due notice of hearing thereon, and upon the whole record and all the evidence, finds and holds:
That the Carrier and Employes involved in this dispute are respectively carrier and employes within the meaning of the Railway Labor Act, as approved June 21, 1934;
That this Division of the Adjustment Board has jurisdiction over the dispute involved herein;
That the dispute was certified to the Third Division of the Adjustment Board ex parte by the complainant party; and
That hearing thereon has been held and concluded. Under date of November 20, 1956, the parties jointly advised the Secretary of the Third
