PARTIES TO DISPUTE:
BROTHERHOOD OF RAILWAY AND STEAMSHIP CLERKS,
FREIGHT HANDLERS, EXPRESS AND STATION EMPLOYES
GULF, COLORADO AND SANTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY
STATEMENT OF CLAIM: Claim of the System Committee of the
Brotherhood that:
(a) Carrier violated the current Clerks' Agreement when it
declined to pay travel and waiting time and living expenses to L. W.
Thompson for May 8, 9, 10, 15 and 16, 1954; and,
(b) L. W. Thompson shall now be paid, in addition to any
allowances of time previously made, two (2'00") hours for each day,
May 8 and 15, 1954, and one hour and fifteen (1'15") minutes for each
day, May 10 and 16, 1954, at Helper rate of pay; and,
(c) L. W. Thompson shall now be paid living expenses as indi-
cated below:

(d) L. W. Thompson shall now be paid seven cents per mile for
242 miles traveling from headquarters point to Granbury and return
on May 8-10, 1954 and 242 miles traveling from headquarters point
to Granbury and return on May 15-16, 1954, ($33.88) for use of his
private automobile as means of getting to relief point for work and
returning to headquarters point.
FINDINGS: The Third Division of the Adjustment Board, after giving
the parties to this dispute due notice of hearing thereon and upon the whole
record and all the evidence, finds and holds:
That the Carrier and the Employes involved in this dispute are respectively carrier and employes within the meaning of the Railway Labor Act,
as approved June 21, 1934;

That this Division of the Adjustment Board has jurisdiction over the
dispute involved herein;
That the dispute was certified to the Third Division of the Adjustment
Board ex parts by compt party; and
That hearing thereon has been held and concluded. Under date of January 10, 1957, the parties jointly addressed a formal communication to the
Secretary of the Third Division, requesting withdrawal of this case from
further consideration by the Division, which request is hereby granted.
AWARD
Case dismissed.
