PARTIES TO DISPUTE:
THE ORDER OF RAILROAD TELEGRAPHERS
CENTRAL OF GEORGIA RAILWAY COMPANY
STATEMENT OF CLAIM:
Claim of the General Committee of The Order
of Railroad Telegraphers on the Central of Georgia Railway, that:
(1) The Carrier violated the Agreement between the parties,
when on May 23, 1955, the work of the agency at Orchard Hill,
Georgia, was removed from the scope of said agreement and from the
employes thereunder and assigned to the Agent at Griffin, Georgia,
a position not covered by the agreement.
(2) That this work shall be assigned to the craft at Milner,
Georgia, the nearest agency to Orchard Hill, Georgia, or
(3) That the agency shall be restored at Orchard Hill and the
occupant of said agency position prior to May 24, 1955, be returned
thereto, and
(4) For each working day commencing May 24, 1955, until the
work is restored to the agreement, the Carrier shall pay the senior
idle extra employe idle on such days the equivalent of one day's pay;
and
(5) If no idle extra employe available on such days, Carrier shall
pay the following regularly assigned employes, idle on their rest days,
eight (8) hours at the time and one-half rate of the position occupied
on the dates set forth in the claim:
(a) T. J. Brake, Jr., May 23. June 6, 13, 20, 27, July 4,
18, 25, August 1, 10, 11, 15, 22 and 29. 1955, a total of 14 days.
(b) W. G. McClung, Jr., May 30 and August 8, 1955, a
total of 2 days.
(c) J. R. Gaulding, June 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, July 19 and
August 5, 1955. a total of 8 days.
(d) H. S. Harris, May 25, 26, June 1, 2, 29, 30, July 6,
7, 27, 28, August 17, 18, 24, 25, 31, September 1, 1955, a total
of 16 days.

(e), G. T. Griffin, August 2, 9, 1955, a total of 2 days.
(f) J. L. Murphy, May 27, June 3, 10, 17, 24, July 1,
8, 22, 29, August 12, 19, 26, and September 2, 1955, a total
of 13 days.
(g) J. R. Jacks, July 20, 21, August 3, 4, 1955, a total
of 4 days.
(h) A. Q. Wyatt, May 24, 31, June 7, 14, 21, 28, July
5, 26, August 16, 23, 30, 1955, a total of 11 days.
FINDINGS: The Third Division of the Adjustment Board finds:
That the dispute was certified to the Third Division of the Adjustment
Board ex parte by the complainant party; and
That hearing thereon has been held and concluded. Under date of November 24, 1958, the parties jointly addressed a formal communication to the
Secretary of the Third Division requesting withdrawal of this case from further consideration by the Division,
which request
is hereby granted.
AWARD
Claim dismissed.
